About us

Located at Brussels International Airport in the heart of Europe, Sabena Flight Academy has a long history of highest quality flight -and type rating training. Under the wings of SABENA the Sabena Flight Academy developed a knowledge base which is unrivaled, specializing in ab-initio pilot training and type rating training for airline companies on no less then 12 airplane types. The bankruptcy of mother company SABENA in November 2001 was a setback but the Sabena Flight Academy recovered easily, operations were never ceased and the company was privatized in October 2004. Customer satisfaction and solid operations have since then proven the continuation of this high quality tradition.

Beginning 2007 a new type will be added to our training fleet: a Boeing 737-NG full flight simulator. This simulator will allow us to present airline companies with an even more complete spectrum of training possibilities as well as an ideal step-up for our ab-initio cadet-pilots.

This pin-point's the core quality standard aimed for by the Sabena Flight Academy: quality airline training of the highest possible level. In our cadet-pilot programs we bring this airline standard to the very beginning of pilot training, aiming at graduates of the highest possible level of professionalism as this is exactly what airline companies are looking for.

In this way we aim to consolidate our leading position in both flight -as type rating training at the highest level, an ambition the Sabena Flight Academy strives after in all its segments of operation.
