Introduction

Sabena Flight Academy is a JAR-approved Flight Training Organization (FTO) with more than 50 years of experience in professional pilot training.

Our services consist of ab-initio pilot training, advanced training, medical services, aviation consulting and training device innovations. These trainings and services are customer oriented for airlines and self-sponsored trainees who choose Sabena Flight Academy for its high quality training.

The European Training and Simulator center is based at Brussels Airport, one of Europe's major gateways, perfectly combining European and intercontinental connections and airlines. The U.S. Flight Training center is based at Falcon Field, Arizona. Optimal weather conditions and a fleet of more than 45 aircraft ensure our customers a year round high level professional pilot training.

Ab-initio pilot training

Sabena Flight Academy offers an integrated ATPL-course, which means that students will run through the complete training in 1 block, taking approx. 20 months.
The training will mainly be done in Belgium; at Brussels Airport and in Antwerp (total 13 months) and in our Flight Training Center in Arizona, USA (6 to 7 months)

During these 20 months, we will constantly be working towards one goal:

Give a maximum of knowledge and skills to each of our students.
To make you the best pilot you can be.
Maximum input for maximum output.

This input goes beyond the official JAR-requirements; subjects as personal development, behavior, social and language skills will also be focused on during your stay at SFA. All communication is done in English.

Date of registration will be decisive to give a ranking amongst students. Selection Tests are mandatory and organized throughout the year. In order to be able to get into the class of your preference, don't book too late. This is the situation today:

Next classes are starting 6th September 2010 and 3rd January 2011. We organise three classes yearly, starting January, May and September

Following pages will tell you everything about our new, improved pilot training program.
